HR Communications Specialist - new grads welcome

Are you interested in a career in marketing and communications, supporting Employer Branding, Recruiting, and HR? We are hiring an entry level HR Communications Specialist to join our team!

YOU ARE:

You are a recent graduate who is equal parts HR and Creativity. You're not intimidated by a startup environment. You're agile, adaptable, and okay with the fact that no two days are exactly the same. Trailblazing doesn't intimidate you, it's what drives you.

You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty. You are excited by the opportunity to integrate yourself in your client's business and culture. You believe that candidates should be treated like people and deserve to have a good experience with a potential employer. Proactive, creative and solutions-focused, 'post and pray' isn't even in your recruitment repertoire. You are invested in helping your clients and hiring managers achieve success – you demonstrate accountability, always go the extra mile, and you crave results.

WE ARE:

We live at the intersection of HR and Marketing. We help make businesses human through employer branding, recruitment marketing, and people solutions. We are a new, rapidly growing practice with a startup culture working out of Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. Industry agnostic, we partner with organizations of all shapes and sizes to deliver an effective suite of strategies and tools that elevate employer brands. We believe in delivering long-term, sustainable solutions for our clients – no 'band-aid', corner-cutting solutions allowed.

Best of all? We’re human. When we’re not rocking our clients' worlds, we like to get out and explore the world. We’re foodies, wine-os, readers, unicorn hunters, adventurers and explorers. It can be a bit chaotic at times, but there's no shortage of greatness in the madness!

IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL:

  • Partner with a range of clients to strategize, build and launch their employer brand.
  • Spearhead Envol’s internal multi-media content strategy, from strategy and concept through to execution. Media includes blogs, video, white papers, client resources, social media content, and webinars.
  • Map, design and optimize the user experience for your client's candidates and employees (Candidate Experience & Employee Experience)
  • Conduct research - qualitative and quantitative - to gather, analyze and interpret data to help your clients make informed decisions about their employer brand and recruiting.
  • Develop internal and external content and communication strategies to communicate/share your client's employer brands in innovative ways with both internal and external talent.
  • Plan, design and create content and copy to help build talent pipelines and drive engagement.
  • Support candidate sourcing & full cycle recruiting for your clients as an extension of their brand: source, screen, interview, reference check and manage feedback.
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute events for the HR community. Check out a recap of our first event on our Blog HERE

YOU HAVE:

We're looking for someone with the right passion and drive. If you're excited about what we're doing here, then we want to hear from you! Ideally, your background may include:

  • Post Secondary education.
  • Demonstrated interest in marketing and employer branding.
  • Experience creating compelling, audience-specific content.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Independent, resourceful, and driven problem-solver.
  • Previous experience in recruiting or copywriting is a bonus!
  • Experience with technologies like Hootsuite and ATS is a bonus!

WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • Open paid time off policy - we hire people mature enough to manage their schedule and deliver great work to clients!
  • Flexible work hours - we trust you to pick hours that fit your life and your creative cycle. Our office typically has people in it from 8am to 6pm.
  • Comprehensive benefits - we take care of our people with medical and dental coverage.
  • Professional development - we all want to keep learning, so we invest in helping you grow.
  • Central downtown Vancouver office - we make it easy to get here.
  • Modern tools, systems & technology - we have the tools, systems and technology you need to work smart and drive results.
  • Well stocked kitchen - coffee, fruit, and snacks ... you name it, we've got it for you - on the house.
  • Anti-recruitment agency - we've been in the typical sales-driven recruitment agency game ourselves, and it's not something we do or allow here.

Do you want to help us build something great? We'd love to hear from you. Apply today by submitting your resume and a cover letter telling us about your favourite employer brand and what you love about it!
