YOU ARE

You want to be part of a business that is chasing big goals. You are a key contributor to Trinity Power's success and growth, supporting all facets of financial requirements. You provide key financial insight to guide decision making, including short- and long-term planning initiatives. 

You will have a hands on role in maintaining accurate and timely records of the company’s financial activities and ensuring that Trinity Power is in compliance with all regulatory requirements. Working alongside your direct report, your attention-to-detail, expertise and drive will enable you to execute all accounting functions in a timely and effective manner. 

YOU WILL

  • Assist in developing accounting and reporting procedures to handle new company process and improvements
  • Ensure compliance with all necessary regulatory requirements (CRA, GST, etc.)
  • Provide financial opinions on various capital programs and projects
  • Oversee and administer all corporate cashflow
  • Perform all necessary reconciliations and account balances
  • Manage payment of vendor accounts
  • Support collection of receivable accounts
  • Oversee and administer payroll
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements, as well as all GST, PST, WCB, etc. reports
  • Monitor operating metrics and financial covenants
  • Actively communicate and collaborate with leadership
  • Work closely with CFO to respond to audit queries regarding statutory and periodic 3rd party audits
  • Supervise junior financial staff to ensure efficient operation

YOU HAVE

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in a mid-senior level accounting role (management experience an asset)
  • Bachelor's degree & professional accounting designation
  • High level working knowledge of computerized accounting systems
  • Advanced knowledge and experience with SAP and Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrated experience with cash flow projections, forecasts, budgets, costing
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment and deliver timely results
