Contract Recruiter

We are looking for an experienced, independent, and savvy full-cycle contract recruiter to join our team at Envol! We’re pretty new, so this is a contract role (average 15-20 hours per week) with a lot of flexibility.  

As a Contract Recruiter, you would recruit as an extension of your client's business - under their brand, using their email. You're not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty, because you actually like to recruit. You are excited by the opportunity to integrate yourself in your client's business and culture. You believe in optimizing the candidate experience to build your client's employer brand and provide an exceptional recruitment experience. Proactive, creative and solutions-focused, 'post and pray' isn't even in your repertoire. You are invested in helping your clients and hiring managers achieve success – you demonstrate accountability, always go the extra mile, and crave results.

We are the anti-recruitment agency. We help make businesses human through employer branding, recruitment marketing, and people solutions. A new, rapidly growing practice with a startup culture working out of Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto. We are industry agnostic, partnering with organizations of all shapes and sizes to deliver an effective suite of strategies and tools that elevate employer brands. What you'd actually be doing on the daily: 

  • Understand hiring manager needs, objectives, and goals through a thorough role discovery process.  
  • Source candidates through proactive search and creative channels.  
  • Full-cycle recruiting: source, screen, interview, reference check and manage feedback.  
  • Coordinate interviews for hiring managers, gathering interview feedback from both the candidate and the hiring manager. 
  • Leverage data from our applicant tracking system to adjust sourcing strategy for improved results.  


Requirements for the role: 

  • Post-Secondary education. 
  • At least 2 years of recruitment experience. 
  • Strong understanding of full-cycle recruitment.  
  • Experience with Applicant Tracking Systems.  
  • Proficient with sourcing strategies, including social media and outreach.  
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal. 
  • Independent, resourceful, and driven problem-solver.
